St. Clair Avenue plan
I was at a public meeting tonight - the kick-off meeting for the Avenue Study for St. Clair Ave. West between Keele and Glenholme. There were about 60 people in attendance, along with the councillors for the wards 17 and 11. The city has hired a consulting firm, Office for Urbanism, to structure the plan. There were many ideas and concerns workshopped during the session, which will be followed up with more opportunities for community involvement along the way.
Also in attendance was Rocky Gualtieri, a new municipal candidate, who will be running against Frances Nunziata in Ward 11 in the November 13 municipal election. Mr. Gualtieri brings a strong business background to the race. He cares about the community he lives in, and I think he is a candidate who will make a difference. This area, which stretches from the village of Weston roughly south to St Clair, will benefit from a fresh voice for the community.

You can't go wrong with a guy named Rocky to fight for his constituents!
