RCMP takes over search for 2 missing ferry passengers

Back in 1983, I took that ferry, from Port Hardy, at the tip of Vancouver Island, to Prince Rupert. I had just graduated from University and I had a car and a few bucks, so I drove west to have an adventure. The ferry trip is over 20 hours through what I guess we should call Haida Gwaii - an incredible part of the world. I was on my way to visit my friend John, who was spending the summer with his dad in Kitimat (hard to believe, but I know at least two people who lived in that strange little hub village, where downtown is a mall).

I hope those two missing people are OK!!

They've sent an unmanned mini-sub in to look for them. The link is at http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/news/story.html?id=4138541b-8cb4-4498-998e-2a90e5caf1db&k=7083

What a nightmare, and it's not looking good for those two passengers. And the oil slick...God, it's a bad scene all around. I've taken BC Ferries lots over the years and every time I get on one, I think...Hmmm...will something happen? But you have to hand it to them for getting off everyone they did. The staff are well-trained, I know.
