Bernie Geoffrion dead at 75

Hockey legend Bernie Boom Boom Geoffrion has checked out.

i was shocked when I read that.. because I had read a newspaper report years ago that he had died. Guess rumors of his death had been greatly exagerated.

Boom Boom was my dad's favorite non Red Wing. I remember him most for that famous Miller Lite commercial where he says "if I was a dirty player, may lightning strike this very spot", and everyone, including him, dives under the tables and hides. Last thing you see is a pair of eyes just peeking our over the edge of the table. It was hillarious, and his french accent just added the perfect touch.

It's very sad that he died the day before Les Habitants were to retire his jersey.
