music from the road less traveled

I stumbled across this site tonight - it features all sorts of music from all over the world. I could not resist ordering a CD of Basque trikitixa music and something called Speed Balkan Boogie. How could I resist a title like that? The site describes it this way: 'Pepsodental speed-balkan-boogie with cowboy chords' is how the band describes this collection of songs. This is a live recording from the Molde International Jazz Festival in 1994, where the Norwegian band led by composer-accordionist Stian Carstensen was joined by four musician friends from Bulgaria including 2 members of the renowned Le mystere de voix Bulgares. Once I receive these and give them a good listen, I'll post reviews.
