York Railway Modellers

We dropped Tuffy's car at the dealership this afternoon, as we had experienced another in a series of strange problems. Tuffy said, "did you see the sign, there's a model railway open house". We went. It was at York Railway Modellers, and it was well worth the stop. We talked to one fellow who machined parts for customized models - he had been doing it since the early 50s. And we saw their expansive layout in action. These guys model Southern Ontario lines from the mid-50s, so there is the Kitchener station, Galt station, Stratford, and so on. They have both passenger and freight trains, all HO scale. These characters are seriously into detail and dedicate long hours to their hobby. Lots of fun.
