mister anchovy said...: I first heard the word plonk in Nicholas Freeling's Van der Valk novels. Van der Valk's wife, Arlette, was an excellent cook, and they often sat down to her fabulous country cooking with a bottle of drinkable red table wine, they called plonk.; 3:26 p.m.
