the Appliance Portraits

via Information Junk

For those who just can't get enough appliances in their lives. I've never seen a Presto Hotdogger before. I find it interesting that the artist chose to photograph the appliances in their pristine state. I would almost certainly photograph them, directly after use (that means if you're too chicken to try out the hotdogger, then no photo, baby)

Wow, talk about some classics! I first saw a Presto hot dogger when my mom bought one for my grandpa when i was a kid.

When i was in college, a hot dogger was a mandatory appliance for the dorm room, since they wouldn't allow us to have a hotplate (days before microwaves).

And a Vegematic! The appliance that made Ron Popiel famous!
