Pale Morning Dun

Pale Morning Dun, originally uploaded by mister anchovy.

Here is a painting I did in the mid-90s, after completing a set of landscape drawings done near Sundridge, Ontario. The title comes from the fly fishers' name for a little yellow mayfly.

I haven't really thought about that GWB. There are 4 paintings in this series. They are about an arm-span wide - human scale. I showed them in an exhibition called The Strachan Project in the mid-90s, and I still own all but one of them, which was a gift to dear friends.
