Hustle and Flow movie review

Ok, I loved this movie. Tuffy P. dragged me kicking and screaming....but it was so good. It's about a small time pimp and dope dealer with a dream of being a hiphop star - and it's filmed in Memphis...watch for the Neeley's BBQ containers early on in the movie. Also watch for Isaac Hayes playing a bartender. This is a well written, well acted, charming film (if a film about pimps, hos and dope dealers can be charming). The characters seem stereotypical when we are first introduced to them, but their humanity develops throughout the piece. I found myself identifying with the characters closely, as I became thoroughly involved in the film. It was made on a low budget, then after success at Sundance, was bought by Paramount for unprecidented dollars. Go see it now and tell me what you think.
