29th Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival (2005)

Looks like Newfoundland is after the record....the tune is Mussels in the Corner

Safe to assume that an anchovy will be among the accordianists?

I'd love to be there, GWB, but we had already planned to drive down south to Nashville in the fall (with the Staggman, no less). Tuffy P and I spent our honeymoon in Pouch Cove, just north of St. Johns Newfoundland, and I have only the best thing to say about The Rock and about all the Newfoundlanders we met. They are terrific people, and it is such a fabulous place. There is quite a tradition of Newfie squeezebox playing too - the most well known player was likely the late Harry Hibbs, but even today, bands like Great Big Sea still have a two-row player in the group.
