The Patriot Act is a scary thing for libraries. I am ever so happy that I am in Canada, despite my childhood fantasy of being an FBI agent.
Would somebody there PLEASE adopt me? I can speak pretty good Canadian, eh ( I've spent most of a lifetime listening to the likes of Foster Hewit, Dan Kelley, Barry Melrose, et al.)? I know great phrases like "take off", and "big blast o'shit". I can locate Flin Flon, Moosejaw, and Little Current on a map. And I love the fact that Dryden, ONT may be the only place in the world where the lot lizzards will propositin you in August while wearing down coats! So PLEEEEEEEEEZE!
My own country scares me. Every time I blog something nasty about dubya (which is almost daily), I sit and wait for the homeland security guys to visit. If my blog ever suddenly disappears, you'll know why.
