The Answer

just as a for instance.....

From one Chef Edmond of the St. Regis

Boule de Neige Doree

Beat 4 egg whites very stiff, add 1/2 cup sugar and shape into balls. Heat 1 pint of milk to boiling, remove from direct fire and place the snow balls in the hot milk to poach. When the balls are cooked drain on a cloth. Make a custard sauce and pour into individual serving dishes, place a snowball in the center of each dish (I'm not making any of this up, people). Bake two campfire marshmallows, melt in a little water and pour over the snowballs. Place under the broiler to brown quickly.
