U.S. accused of covering up mad cow cases

If this is true, it begs the question, what else has been covered up? When we struggled in Toronto with SARs for instance, it was remarkable the absence of cases in America.

I always thought that about the SARS thing...

Denial of mad cow disease seems to be the standard. The UK did it for years, and so did several other EC nations, so I would not be surprised if this was true. Should everyone stop eating beef?

Farmers should stop feeding meat biproducts to cattle. I haven't stopped eating beef, but if I can find a source of grain-fed non-drugged up beef, I'm willing to pay more for it.

I am now very careful about the beef products I eat, especially sausage. I check the label very careflly to make sure there are no organ meats in my food. Also careful about the food I feed my dog, must contain no organ meats or bone meal.
