Happy Birthday Ardis
Tonight we're celebrating our friend Ardis' birthday by going for dinner to The Big Ragu with The Breezes, Ardis and Claude, followed by birthday cake, coffee, and maybe just a dram of Scotch back here. The Big Ragu is on Landsdowne, just below St. Clair, not far from the Anchovy homestead. We've only been there once, shortly after they opened, and we've been looking forward to eating there again.
By the way, this photo was taken on one of our many sketching trips into rural Ontario.

sounds like fun....maybe I'll find a long weekend this summer to explore Eastern Ontario....I don't suppose you know the whereabouts of the elusive salvelinas fontinalis in those parts, do you?

By the way, The Big Ragu was delightful. I recommend it for great food and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Try the grilled calimari with balsamic vinegar reduction. It is seriously delicious!
