Red China/Green China | OrganicMatter

This is about the possibility of sustainable development in China. I think most of us have heard about exploding industrial development over there. I've also heard that a lot of old American coal mines are being reopened to supply Chinese industry. This is scary.

It IS scary when economics dictates what is happening with the environment.

Perhaps we need Red/Green to get out the duct tape...

The sad thing is, if the US government took green developement seriously, the Chinese would likely take it more seriously too. As an American, I think it is even sadder that there is some indication the Chinese already get the picture betteer than we do!
