New York buzzing over Christo's 'Gates'

Christo might be one of the most ambitious artists around, having wrapped buildings, made the 'Running Fence' and the Valley Curtain' - but this one seems to me to be just 'another project'. If New York is really buzzing about this work, I perhaps it will be an enjoyable experience for them. Hopefully, this one will be safe - there were accidental deaths in the US and Japan associated with his 'Umbrella Project' a few years ago.
