Jerry, the best cat you'll ever meet. He's wearing his super-hero cape, which more or less stops him from licking open the sore on his shoulder. Jerry has FIV (feline AIDS), a heart murmer, skin issues and bad teeth. He lived on the streets most of his days before settling in for a little TLC at our place.

What an incredible little guy; poor thing! How lucky he was to find you. The Super Hero cape is very fitting.
Good for you for rescuing Jerry! It always makes me happy to hear that people take in animals in need. Especially in Jerry's case, where he can have a little bit of comfort after so much misery.
Your story reminds me of my cat, Muffin. She belonged to a friend of mine who didn't value animal life in the same way I do (though she was quick to tell me that she prayed daily for my heathen wayward soul), not spaying her cats, then dumping the mom and litter at the pound. Muffin was 2 when I got her, a scraggly little thing I doubted would be adoptedif left at the shelter. She had tons of bladder and kidney problems but was the sweetest cat I've ever had. I miss the little girl. *sniff*
