Bardia Bryan Zargham

Bardia Bryan Zargham, originally uploaded by mister anchovy.

Mrs. Anchovy brought this article in NOW magazine to my attention. It is about an 18 year old graffiti artist named Bardi Bryan Zarham, who was killed by an on-coming train near Dupont and Christie, while painting up another train. Zargham was part of that community of graffiti painters who surfed the line between art and vandelism. His tag was Alpha, and it did it up with flare. I'm still waiting, though, for graffiti painters to burst past the simple necessity of painting their stylized names into a whole new world.

I wish I knew you (BARDIA).
I never got the chance to sit and
talk to you. You know what, I think about you everyday, about the guy who made us believe that
life is nothing but doing what you love even if...

Bardia,
It's almost eight months that you have left us. There hasn't been a moment that I haven't thought of you. Life is not the same without you. I love you with every heart beat. Till the day we meet again.
Much love and respect to you who accomplished a lot in such a short life and died doing what he loved and believed in.
REST IN PEACE KING ALFA
