Bird feathers
I came across this site on a blog called Information Junk. I wonder how many people have considered the peculiarities of bird feathers. I'm a fly fisherman, and for a long time, I've been tying trout flies. It doesn't take a lot of tying experience before you learn the difference between the stiff hackles on the neck and saddle of a rooster, the soft necks of hens, ultra-soft cul de canard and so on.
