Enrico Baj - messing with modern art

Of those artists who had fun in their work with the work of other artists, my favorite is Enrico Baj, the Italian painter, who died just last year. As well as making 'modifications' to the work of other artists, he also made work 'after' other artists. The link takes you to a set of images where you can see this, particularly in Baj chez Picasso, and the Funeral of the Anachist Pinelli. Baj also did a delightful series of "Generals" (because everyone wants to be a general). He glued actual war medals to the paintings, using epoxy, which he called that 'portentious paste' that allowed him to stick anything to anything, 'even dreams, even memories.
