Art thieves nabbed
Several individuals were arrested in Toronto October 25 after a police investigation into organized theft of valuable artworks and antiques from high-end antique stores in the city.
In twenty years or so of making paintings in Toronto, never once have I been the victim of an art theft. It would be an interesting event, given that I have trouble enough selling the darned things. What would the thieves do? They would have to pay for storage, just like I do. I would be tempted to take a page from O. Henry's Ransom of Red Chief, and demand payment to accept the paintings back.
